Etiquette & Rules of the Trail

Ride on open trails only. Respect trail and road closures (ask if not sure), avoid trespassing on private land, obtain permits and authorization as may be required.

Leave no trace. If it's muddy, don't ride it.

Control your bicycle. Inattention for even a second can cause disaster.

Always yield trail. Make known you approach well in advance.

Downhill traffic yields (or stops) for uphill traffic.

Never scare animals. All animals are startled by an unannounced approach, sudden movements, or loud noises.

Plan ahead. Know your equipment, your ability, and the area in which you are riding; and prepare accordingly.
